Rich, bass player and co founder of The Revolutionaires along with brother Ed, shares much of his sibling’s taste in music. Some of his earliest musical recollections include the Specialty Label recordings of Little Richard and those of Chuck Berry on the Chess Label. It was especially the dynamism of Little Richard and his ‘crack’ group of musicians, which was to leave such a huge impression upon him.
Over time, as he was to delve deeper into the roots of Rock’n’Roll, Rich became aware of an exciting musical genre...Rhythm & Blues! He was especially captured by the 1950’s recordings of Blues artists. In particular Roy Brown, Big Joe Turner, Ruth Brown and Louis Jordan and it is the recordings of these artists along with their peers, which has most influenced Rich on a personal level and The Revolutionaires as a band.
